RABBIT 17 – Geography

RABBIT 17 – Geography

from A$17.00

What does it mean to write of the earth; of space and place; to mark a territory? What happens when we name the land and features within it? What might we get wrong, impose, distort? The poems in Rabbit 17 harness the poetic form in various ways in order to explore geographical subject matter, from visual pastiche to ekphrastic responses; from ‘conversation maps’ to observations through different windows. These poetic-geographical poems acknowledge the burden of the geographer’s perspective—an acknowledgement that simultaneously opens the gates to singular and wild adventures in representing the world. Featuring work by Jordie Albiston, Anna Fern, Jake Goetz, Chi Tran, Meredith Wattison, Craig Santos Perez, Amanda Johnson and more.
